Marietta City Schools is proud to announce Kaleb Whitlow, 7th grader at Marietta Middle School (MMS), as a District Student of the Month for February.
Kaleb has earned all As during his entire academic career and continues to do so at MMS. He serves on the STEM Magnet Team and is an officer on the National Junior Honors Society, while still finding time to actively participate in Math Counts. He is open-minded, considerate and positive, and maintains a good balance of humility and self-confidence. Kaleb is always willing to help others who are struggling and is a strong peer-mediator.
Kaleb takes full responsibility for any challenge that he faces. He recently injured his knee and called his principal, Dr. Dayton Hibbs, from the hospital to discuss a plan for getting to class on time while on crutches.
He is community-minded and service is important to him; Kaleb devotes as many hours as possible to volunteering. You can find him helping out with the Police Athletic League (PAL) every Sunday and with the National Junior Honors Society on Saturdays. Kaleb excels in all facets of school, strives to exceed in all he attempts, and is often described as wise beyond his years.
We congratulate Kaleb Whitlow for being recognized as the February Student of the Month.
