Marietta City Schools (MCS) is proud to announce Scott Brunet, Physical Education Department Head, Assistant Football Coach, and Head Golf Coach at Marietta High School (MHS) as its February District Employee of the Month.
Scott has been a part of the MCS family since 2015 and has been an educator for 30 years. In his role at MHS, he has streamlined the high school’s master schedule to maximize teaching space and adequate supervision, and implemented improvements to department policies and procedures. Always striving for improvement, he started a new initiative, the Power of the Peace project.
He teaches Drivers Education and is a member of the MHS Leadership Team and the Georgia High School Golf Coaches Association. With this strength in coaching, Scott is passionate about preparing his students. He works with students in ISS, understanding that those who have made a mistake are on the path to grow and can recover with support and direction. As the Offensive Line Coach on the 2019 State Champion Football Team, he guided the players with positive reinforcement and encouragement.
Coach Brunet is a model Blue Devil: kind, hard-working, and caring. According to those who know him well, he doesn’t take himself too seriously because he is too busy taking care of others.
We congratulate Scott Brunet for being recognized as the February District Employee of the Month.
