Tamika Spirling-Brooks: November Employee of the Month
Marietta City Schools is proud to announce Ms. Tamika Spirling-Brooks, Director of Employee Relations, Compliance and Performance in the Department of Human Resources, as its November District Employee of the Month.
Tamika is a silent hero at our district administrative office: quietly at work behind the scenes, she had the difficult job of understanding and monitoring the constant changes in Federal and State leave law during the pandemic. She consistently supports and helps our employees work through very difficult and personal decisions. Tamika has shown her commitment, resilience, and strength daily, with kindness and concern for each one of our employees. She has spent her entire professional career, over 22 years in the field of Human Resources, serving in public education. Her kind heart and friendly smile put everyone she meets at ease.
Tamika and her husband have two daughters, both are freshmen: one in college near Houston, Texas at HBCU Prairie View A&M University's nursing program and one in the magnet program at North Springs Charter High School. She also has a “four-legged love,” named Sampson.
Tamika is a member and active community volunteer with the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. In her free time Tamika enjoys traveling with her husband and learning the history of the locations they visit.
We congratulate Ms.Tamika Spirling-Brooks for being recognized as the November District Employee of the Month!
