Congratulations MCS Teacher of the Year, 2019!!!

Marietta City Schools (MCS) honored teachers and school system employees during its annual awards celebration. The three finalists for Marietta City Schools Teacher of the Year were Kristin Lincoln, 2nd-grade teacher at Sawyer Road Elementary School, Jenny Williams, 4th-grade teacher at Marietta Center for Advanced Academics; and LaKeasha Clark-McGhee, 8th-grade math teacher at Marietta Middle School. 

Kristin Lincoln was named the MCS 2019 system Teacher of the Year. Superintendent, Dr. Grant Rivera made the announcement at the district's Annual Teacher of the Year and Employee Awards Luncheon held Tuesday, May 29, 2018.  

“I am humbled and honored at being selected Teacher of the Year for Marietta City Schools. I am looking forward to representing the district and sharing just how special, different, and better MCS truly is,” Kristin said following the event.  

Both Board Chair, Jason Waters, and Superintendent, Dr. Grant Rivera expressed their enthusiasm.  

Mr. Waters shared, "Ms. Lincoln sets high standards for her students and, because of her creative and compassionate teaching, they rise to meet her expectations."
