Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program
The Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program is USDA funded to help fight childhood obesity. This program is designed to introduce school age children to a variety of fresh produce that they might have never been exposed to otherwise. Five of Marietta City Schools including Park Street, Lockheed, Sawyer Road, and Hickory Hills will be providing the students with a fresh new fruit or vegetable daily! Nutrition education is part of this grant and it's provided via monthly newsletters to the teachers.  If you want to learn more about The Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Program, visit www.fns.usda.gov/ffvp .
